🌱 Our Vegan Values

At Inkthreadable we’re proud to have a collection of over 70 vegan products available for print on demand. Whether you need t-shirts, hoodies or even water bottles, we’ve got you covered.

Some of you may be wondering - if we don't sell food, what have we got to do with veganism? Vegan consumers have a diverse range of values, but for the sake of this blog we'll use a basic definition of veganism, which is to shop cruelty-free and avoid purchasing animal products. These values affect everything in a vegan's life, from what they eat to the shoes on their feet.

We stock a large selection of Vegan products since they are in line with our company values on environmental responsibility.

Due to the lack of animal-derived materials and dying chemicals, vegan products are more responsibly manufactured than conventional products. Vegan-certified brands aren't only focused on protecting animals; they also promote environmentally conscious alternatives to preserve our planet!

Whilst we have a good selection of vegan products, we're certainly not done yet. There are still a lot of fashion companies that aren't cruelty-free, and we want to do more to help other businesses adopt vegan fashion in the future.

🌎 The Importance of Marketing Vegan Products

The number of vegan consumers in the UK is steeply rising every year. It’s estimated that a quarter of all consumers will be vegan or vegetarian by 2025.

However, it's not only vegans who buy vegan-friendly goods. Many people know that the vegan-friendly label implies better sustainability, and with a third of Brits wanting to buy more sustainably this year, it's something you shouldn't pass up on!

You're giving customers the confidence to buy your items if they can verify that they haven't been produced using animal materials, and so you're opening up a whole new market of ethical consumers by making it clear that your apparel is vegan-friendly.

Vegan apparel isn’t only better for animals, it’s also more environmentally friendly, making it better for humans too!

Vegan Day 21 - Who

🤔 Who Should Use Vegan Products?

Anyone looking to appeal to vegans should be selling vegan-friendly clothing and accessories. However, the context of your brand must be taken into account.

If you own a sustainable clothing company or offer eco-friendly apparel, then the decision is an easy one: all of your products should be labelled vegan! But if your brand isn't rooted in sustainability and doesn't have any strong ties with veganism--it may not be worth mentioning that something is "vegan" unless customers specifically ask about it.

Try answering the following questions if you’re unsure whether or not to promote your products as being vegan-friendly:

  1. Are vegan consumers in my target audience?
  2. Do my designs align with vegan values?

If either of those answers is "No," you would be better off not labelling your items as being vegan. Imagine a hunting gear store that sells hats and t-shirts; while it's a profitable market for many people, it definitely isn't meant to attract vegans.

To sell vegan-friendly products, it’s important to understand your target market, label products correctly, and promote your amazing brand to the community!

Once you've decided to utilise vegan products, let's take a look at the vegan options that we have available for print on demand.

🌿 Our Vegan Products

Your designs are printed using 100% vegan, water-based toxic free inks across all of our products. However, to be labelled correctly, the blank product you choose must also be vegan-friendly.

There are two types of vegan products; certified and non-certified. Some items may be labelled vegan since they don't contain animal-based components, but we prefer to promote only vegan-certified goods as this demonstrates the greatest commitment to ethical business.

Vegan certification is the process of independently verifying that the manufacturer's materials and production process are free of animal suffering. PETA is the most well-known vegan approval for fashion brands, and they have a list of approved companies that consumers can check before buying anything.

PETA-Approved

If your brand is specifically aimed towards a vegan lifestyle, then we recommend using only PETA-approved products.

AWDis' Just Hoods range, Continental's EP collection and 100% of Stanley/Stella's apparel is PETA-approved vegan, meaning that they meet the highest standards for vegan products. The PETA-approved Vegan logo was designed to identify products that no animal had to suffer for, and also to promote vegan fashion brands’ commitment to the cause.

AWDis Just Hoods

As part of the AWDis brands’ sustainability journey, all Just Hoods garments are also now officially recognised as 100% free of any animal ingredients. The PETA-Approved Vegan logo was established to label products that no animal had to suffer for, and highlight vegan fashion items commitment to animals. We recognise the importance of our responsibility to ensure the manufacturing methods used match the ideals of those who love and wear our products and we are therefore thrilled to add this cruelty-free stamp to our products.

Continental Clothing

All products of Continental Clothing manufactured under organic textile standards are PETA - Approved Vegan by PeTA Foundation (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

Vegan fashion - clothes, shoes and accessories that contain no leather, fur, wool, skin, exotic skins or any other animal-derived fabric - is revolutionising the way that we shop and dress. As more and more people vow never to clothe themselves in cruelty, retailers and designers are meeting the demand for animal-friendly clothes in style.

Stanley/Stella

Stanley/Stella is proud to announce that we are PETA certified. This means that we do not conduct or commission any animal tests on ingredients, formulations, or finished products and pledge never to do so. On top of this, our apparel is made from 100% vegan materials, so you can be confident that no harm came to anyone during its creation.

Not all of our vegan products carry the PETA-approved label though, and there are a few non-apparel products that are suitable for vegans:

  • Our 11oz mugs, two-toned mugs and 500ml water bottles are certified as being produced without any animal byproducts or testing.
  • Our bamboo art print paper is also certified as vegan (other paper types not confirmed).
