Direct to Garment

Direct to Garment technology has revolutionised t-shirt printing. It’s built on the back of the inkjet method, where a print head passes over paper and lays down ink. This is where the similarities end and the innovation begins; we’re not using standard inks and paper. We’re printing your designs onto textile with results that last the lifetime of the garment.

Inkthreadable uses Kornit DTG printers. They’re industry leading, employing CMYK-RG-W colour channels (that's the usual CMYK plus red, green and white) to maximise colour accuracy and print quality.

All Kornit machines use water based eco-friendly inks that are vegan friendly and not tested on animals. In fact their sustainability policy is big on eco. We bring Kornit’s eco-credentials to bear with every single DTG print so you know exactly what goes into your product.

With DTG printing you’ll have no set up costs, no additional costs per colour, and the capability to print full colour, HD images and photos on to any colour DTG product. There are no limitations to the amount of colours you can use or the quantities you can print in. And our Kornit machines can match the speed, quality and cost of traditional screen printing too.

Direct to Garment is perfect for on-demand drop shipping. No setup costs and no minimum order quantities mean one-off prints are not only doable, but cost effective! And you’re not compromising on quality either; everything we print with our Kornit DTG printers is of high-street retail quality.

For the highest quality print possible we recommend certain artwork specifications. You can find out everything you need to know in our Design File Guidelines article.

Dye Sublimation

Dye sublimation is a digital print method perfect for decorating polyester or polymer coated products. We use this method to print products like phone cases and mugs, but also textiles like tote bags and all-over t-shirts.

The print method uses a combination of heat, pressure and time to transfer dye to the product we're printing. And since it's a digital method we can use dye sublimation to achieve photo quality prints on your products.

Because heat and pressure are used the dyes cure within the textile fibres and the result is a near permanent, high resolution full colour print that feels as soft as the fabric itself! Pretty cool, right?

Just like with DTG, dye sublimation is ideal for on-demand drop shipping. Every single dye sublimation product is available with no minimum order quantities. But they can all be ordered in bulk, too. There are no limits!

For the highest quality print possible we recommend certain artwork specifications. You can find out everything you need to know in our Design File Guidelines article.
